10Bet is one of the increasing number of casinos that we are seeing these days that run Microgaming’s in-browser platform, Quickfire. The site offers punters the ability to wager on casino games, both live and virtual, along with a sportsbetting service that allows you to wager on matches while they are in play. The casino is licensed in Curacaoand accepts players from a wide variety of countries. I took 10Bet for a test run to see how they stack up against their numerous competitors.

Software and game selection

As mentioned above 10Bet runs Microgaming’s “instant-play” Quickfire platform, so not only do you get to choose from the pick of Microgaming’s catalogue of games that have been developed over the last decade, you also get games from boutique developers such as Leander, NextGen, Genesis, and Rabcat. The pick of Microgaming’s new big budget slots are all here, think titles such as Terminator II, The Dark Knight, Avalon II, Playboy, and Immortal Romance, along with time honoured and popular classics such as Thunderstruck, Avalon, and Tomb Raider. If you have ever played at any of the many Microgaming casinos in the past, you will know exactly what to expect, and if you haven’t then all you need to know is that these games are amongst the best available online. In addition, 10Bet is one of few to offer slots from the lesser known developer GamesOS (formerly known as CTXM). To be brutally honest, these games pale in comparison to the Quickfire ones.

Slot machines aren’t the only games available at 10Bet though, as the casino offers quite an extensive selection of table game such as Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps, Caribbean Stud, along with 10 variants of Video Poker. The games can be filtered using either a tabbed menu system, or a menu on the left side of the website. I found that the menu on the left was more reliable as the categorisation of the games in the tabs could use some improvement, with games often appearing under the wrong or unexpected tabs – e.g. Craps in the Roulette section, Video Poker games in the Blackjack tab.

Fans of live dealer games are covered at 10Bet, with the casino broadcasting live Blackjack, Roulette, and Baccarat games. The dealers I saw while testing the casino were all female, and the games are beamed from a specialised dealer studio, rather than an actual casino floor.

Bonus rules and wagering requirements

The casino offers a typical match bonus on your first deposit, along with monthly reload bonuses and other promotions that change from time to time. However my advice is to avoid the bonuses here as the wagering requirements are very high at 35x the deposit plus the bonus, which works out to be an eye-watering 70xB for a 100% bonus. In addition, the casino stipulates a long list of countries for which those already high wagering requirements are tripled. The one good thing that I can say about this is that 10Bet uses a coupon code system to claim the bonuses, so you aren’t automatically saddled with a bonus that you don’t want when you make a deposit.

Banking options and conditions

10Bet accepts deposits from an impressive array of 18 different currencies, and offers language support for the same number of languages (see right column for full list). The banking methods are fairly standard for an online casino these days: common credit and debit cards, e-wallets such as Neteller, Skrill, WebMoney, and 1-Pay, along with a couple of local bank transfer methods. Certainly nothing to complain about and it was easy to make a deposit that was instantly credited to my account. One thing to watch out for is that the site uses a wallet system where you can have separate balances for casino and sportsbetting accounts. My first deposit went in to the sportsbetting account, leaving me wondering why my balance was still 0 while in the casino, until I realised what had happened and transferred the money between the two.

Less impressive are the withdrawal limits imposed by 10Bet. Players are limited to a low €2000 per week in withdrawals from the casino, a limit that strangely does not apply to the sportsbetting part of the site. The terms stipulate that “VIP players” are not subject to these limits, but they do not specify how or what constitutes qualification as a VIP player. In any case, my test withdrawal of much smaller amount was paid to my Neteller account after 4 days or so, and an identity verification process.

Customer service and security

Customer support at 10Bet is provided via live chat, phone, and email. I contacted live chat to clarify the terms of the bonus offer and has someone responding to my query within a minute. Unfortunately they confirmed my interpretation of the bonus conditions I talked about above, but nevertheless they were polite and helpful and most pleasing of all, quick to respond.

Security of your financial transactions and gameplay at 10Bet is accomplished through the use of industry standard SSL encryption. All communication between your computer and the casino is encrypted while you are logged into the site. Unfortunately this security does not extend to the handling of your personal identification, as the verification process involved emailing my documents to support. I really prefer these days to upload these sorts of documents securely over an encrypted connection directly to the casino site rather than sending them in the clear over email. To be fair, 10Bet are far from alone in this practice and it is concerning to think that so many casinos still need to lift their game in this department.

Conclusion

10Bet is a decent online casino with a great set of games, but in my opinion it lacks anything major to make it stand out from a crowd that grows bigger by the week. It is licensed in a weak jurisdiction in Curacao, its bonuses are a waste of time due to the high wagering requirements, and the withdrawals are limited per week and not as fast as many similar casinos. The site’s main appeal lies in its ability to cater to players in their native languages and currencies that are less commonly found at online casinos, especially for those of you that like to wager on sports.
