StarGames Casino is powered by both proprietary software (software that was internally developed by the casino themselves) and also by the Greentube software. Players can launch all of the games right from the website once they have registered their real money player’s account.

The software maintains a very high quality of animations and graphics and the sound effects are great. The eccentric free play system treats you like a social gambler. When you register you get 5,000 stars to play any of their games. When you win, you win stars, when you lose, you run out and the only way to keep playing is by buying more stars (why would you?) or simply deposit and play with real money.
Why you ask? We can only come up with two different reasons. One; they want you to experience what it feels like to play their game with real money. There is no doubt that once you know your ‘free play’ is limited to the amount of free money you have, you play more like you would normally when playing slot for real money, rather than bet 50 a spin, just because.
Secondly, their slot machines are so popular with players, they don’t want to give them away for free. We’re not sure why, but needless to say, those star points both intrigued and confused us.
Security & Payments
Another mixed review. On one hand, they have a good if not large selection of deposit methods. If you use Skrill you can even get your withdrawals instantly back into your account. Now that’s fast. Add to that a huge amount of supported currencies and a safe Maltese regulatory licence, and StarGames mobile casino ticks all our boxes.
Except for the one tiny point where you only get 2 free withdrawals a month and then they charge you. So, that’s a little annoying. If you are a regular at their casino you can get up to 5 free withdrawals a month, which is a little more acceptable.
We get that it’s expensive having to transfer cash around, especially when it’s instantly, but 2 a month is a little tight. Still, it’s a small price to pay for playing some great Novomatic slot games in a safe and secure casino.
Software & Games
Novomatic slot games are some of the best around, especially as most are land based slot machines turned online turned Android and iPhone slots. They have almost a ‘cult‘ following amongst those who love these types of slot games and you can easily see why.
They look beautiful and play well, but are of higher variance than most mobile slots that you can find online. That means big wins for players, but also generally tailored for the more experienced slot player.
Novomatic mobile slots are what you’ll find here. If you want blackjack, roulette, video poker or any other games you’ll have to look elsewhere. Which is a real shame as the online version is stacked full of different casino games. The mobile selection is currently small, with more coming soon, but until they do, we can’t really rate them higher. Still, you won’t find these slot games in any other mobile casino site.

At least they have several numbers to call and they are upfront about the cost. A call back feature would have been nice.
We’ve heard others have had problems with their customer service, not because it was bad, but because it was slow on email. We got a response to our query with 2 hours, which was acceptable, but then we weren’t asking for anything incredibly complicated. Phone is probably the best and fastest option if you don’t mind the cost and need a quick response.
Conclusion
StarGames casino motto is ‘Real Online Gaming’ and you instantly see why when you play their slot games. These are mobile slots that resonate with the real gamblers who’ll go down to the casino and play on the live machines.
However, it cannot be denied that the mobile site is still very much a ‘work in progress’. Fans of the games will jump at the chance to play their favourites slots on their iPad, iPhone or Android mobile devices, but those who don’t know Novomatic might not quite see what the fuss is about just yet.
